Re: Morse ID

If your using the mic circuit, its pre-empasized and limited. You will have to adjust the urd.conf for that method. It could be over driving the circuit. This would cause voice peaking, and the audio would blank out. If your hooked straight to the modulator(the prefered method)that will not happen. ...

Re: Morse ID

A question for you. Are you interfaceing directly to discriminator, or are you using speaker and mike?

Re: Streaming/recording, plus morse ID parameters

Hi Buddy, I was not able to get ezstream running on XIPAR. I had to use one of my ACID boxes feeding the stream from a private node. When I used the main node, It stold the transmit audio and sent it to Broadcastify. I have never had a reason to adjust morse or ID pitch. Never played with it. Ignore...

Re: How To Install Private node on Present Node

Been meaning to do this for a while. move to the /etc/asterisk directory. All files that need to be edited are here. Using your favorite file editor open the rpt.conf file. Starting at the top of the file you will see the [nodes] stanza portion, or internal phone. You will need to add your node info...

Re: New 32 and 64 bit XIPAR released!

This has been found to be an issue on certain computers. Most of them have been Dell. If you have an external ethernet card you can plug in it will load. Once the load is complete, you can disconnect that card and the internal will work. Its a fluke.

Re: Having a issue with my node after power outage

First of all try to refrain from hot plugging the fob. Due to power being applied at both ends of the usb device. Wether it be Computer power to the port, or the dc power to the radio. You never know where the best ground is coming from. I have seen usb ports fry because of this. Sounds like maybe t...

Creating nodename files

Here on the WAN-RS we use custom nodenames that play instead of all the numbers. I thought it was about time to let you all in on the process of how I create them. On the WAN-RS I use the location and vhf or uhf, and or the suffix of the frequency. EX: Warren nine two five, or Ludlow U H F Remember ...

Re: updating cause dahdi to break?

I rarely update the box from webmin. There is a way to sometimes fix this. In the dir /var/lib/asterisk/ there is a file called astdb. Asterisk database sometimes goes flooy. rm astdb then restart the box.
