Deny echolink incoming connects

Postby N1RCW » Thu Jan 10, 2013 7:16 pm

I've been asked if there is a way to inhibit incomming echolink connects on an Asterisk box configured with the Echolink Module.I've read that you can deny certain callsigns,or types of stations,etc .Is there a config setting to deny globally all inbound connects? Thanks Rick N1RCW

Welcome Rick.

In the echolink.conf file add the following line to the file

example
deny = kb3ors, n1rcw-r, etc
deny = -r (this will block all -r call signs)

You can do the same the other direction. Block all and only allow nodes.

allow = kb3ors, n1rcw, etc

Just remember that after you enter a number, not sure at the count, it will start allowing all.
